What a skin is
A skin changes how Levels looks on the touch strip and the keys: colours, type, and the live meter that moves with the sound. It never changes what Levels does. Skins need Levels on Windows and a Stream Deck +. You can try every one first in the skin simulator.
Install
- Open the skin (or its collection pack) on the Elgato Marketplace and choose Install. Stream Deck opens and imports it.
- A skin travels inside a Stream Deck profile. When the profile arrives, Levels adds the skin to its library by itself: there are no files to copy.
- The skin now appears in the Skin menu of every Levels key and dial.
Installed skins are kept in %APPDATA%\design.frenetiq.levels\skins and stay there when Levels updates.
Switch skin
Select any Levels key or dial and pick a Skin in its settings. Every Levels key and dial on that Stream Deck switches with it, so a page always looks like one design. The Levels pages follow too, unless you picked a skin inside one of them.
Your own touch strip image
Every skin has transparent versions. In a dial's settings, Background sets how the strip is painted; choose it on one dial and the others follow.

Slower PC?
Live meters redraw the strip many times a second. If Stream Deck feels slow, set Animations to Off in a dial's settings: the meters stand still and everything else works as usual.
Skins and icon packs
An image you set on a key yourself always wins over the skin. Keys that switch on and off (Mic, Mute all, Mix, Priority) use the icon pack's two images and change with the state.
